Dr. Zuhair Hamed Fayez is Chairman and CEO of Zuhair Fayez Partnership, an architectural and engineering consultancy firm. Dr. Fayez focuses on the management of the firm and the talent development of Saudi architects and engineers.
Dr. Fayez established Zuhair Fayez Partnership in 1975 after working at architectural firms in the U.S. The firm has grown immensely and now operates offices in Jeddah, Riyadh, Al-Khobar, Cairo and Manila. Zuhair Fayez Partnership is licensed by the Ministry of Commerce for architectural, engineering, and IT services throughout Saudi Arabia and it was the first firm in the Middle East in those fields to receive the ISO9001 and Tick-IT certifications. At the firm, Dr. Fayez prioritizes producing of designs based on traditional Islamic values and Arabic architecture using the newest technology, providing sophisticated consulting services, and training new Saudi workers to develop their careers. Before he founded his firm, Dr. Fayez worked with Maxwell Saul and Associates and Hartzell-Pfeiffenberger and Associate, both based in Colorado. Outside of his business, Dr. Fayez is involved with numerous organizations including the Dar Al-Hekma College for Girls in Jeddah, the Foundation Board of Trustees of the University of Colorado, the Fazlur Rahman Khan Chair at Lehigh University, the Saudi Council of Engineers, and the U.S.-Saudi Arabian Business Council.
Dr. Fayez holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, a Bachelor of Architecture and a master’s degree in Architecture and Urban Design from the University of Colorado.
