Dr. Willie Hagan
President, The California State University-Dominguez Hills
Dr. Willie Hagan is the President of California State University, Dominguez Hills, an urban university in the South Bay area of Los Angeles County. In his current role, Dr. Hagan has focused on managing the university while improving academic success and increasing graduation rates.
Dr. Hagan previously worked at California State University, Fullerton. He joined CSU Fullerton in 1996 as Vice President for Administration before later serving as Interim Vice President for University Advancement, Vice President for Administration and Finance, and Chief Financial Officer before serving as Interim President. His responsibilities included managing financial operations for the entire $380 million Fullerton enterprise and design and execute a plan to purchase a 200,000 square foot building for campus development. In 2012, he became Interim President at CSU Dominguez Hills and then became permanent President in 2013. During his tenure at Dominguez Hills, Dr. Hagan has overseen a student body of 15,000 while helping identify and reallocate university resources to support strategic university priorities and improve graduation rates and time to degree.
Dr. Hagan holds a doctorate in Psychology from the University of Connecticut and a Master of Fine Arts from UCLA.
