Dr. Samar Alsaggaf
Director, Department of Medical and Health Science Programs, Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission
Dr. Samar Alsaggaf is Director of the Department of Medical and Health Science Programs at the Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission (SACM).
Previously, Dr. Alsaggaf served as an academic lecturer and physician with a specialization in anatomy, embryology, histology, and expertise in the development of the nervous system. After receiving her degrees, she joined the Department of Anatomy and Embryology at King Abdul Aziz University (KAU) before being appointed Vice Dean of the Female Students’ Section at KAU in 1999. She was promoted to Dean in the same institution in 2003. At SACM, Dr. Alsaggaf was voted Best Director of the Year for 2011 and 2012, named the “Mother of Saudi Students” by the many Saudi students in the U.S. that she oversaw, and she was the recipient of numerous awards from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the U.S. Furthermore, she has authored and published several books and journals of scientific nature.
Dr. Alsaggaf received her undergraduate degree from KAU and a master’s degree and Ph.D. from King Saud University. She is also the recipient of a Doctorate of Humane Letters from the University of Saint Joseph in Connecticut.
