Vice President, Business Development, Avant Assessment
Mimi Jett is Vice President of Business Development for Avant Assessment. She heads the company’s efforts to build government and international partnerships, especially in the Middle East and China, to provide additional tools, services, and quality content to language learners.
Ms. Jett is an education technology leader with more than 25 years of experience in collaborative innovation across multiple industry sectors, markets, and geographies. Prior to joining Avant, she was the General Manager of netTrekker, a leading provider in the organization and delivery of digital K-12 educational content and tools, where she led the development of new products and services. Beyond that, she held strategic management positions with Renaissance Learning and IBM Research, where she was appointed to the Institute for Advanced Learning Leadership Council.
Ms. Jett was the Founder and CEO of Electronic Technical Publishing, providing advanced technology solutions to higher education publishers in mathematics and engineering fields and she is involved in other ways in the sector. She also was an elected delegate to the White House Conference on Small Business and served as the Technology Advisory Committee Chair for the U.S. Small Business Administration. Currently, she serves as co-chair on the Board of Directors for the Software & Information Industry Association’s Education Division and after formerly serving as co-chair of the Global Strategies working group. In addition, she sits on several industry advisory boards and mentors entrepreneurs.
