Dr. Fahad Al-Sultan
Chairman, Saudi National Grid
Dr. Fahad Bin Saleh Al-Sultan is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi National Grid.
Dr. Al-Sultan previously served as Secretary General of the Council of Saudi Chambers where he was involved in different organizations promoting trade, foreign investment, and economic growth in Saudi Arabia. In that position, he sat on the board of 32 international Saudi and foreign joint business councils, including the U.S.-Saudi Arabian Business Council. Prior to his work at the Council of Saudi Chambers, Dr. Al-Sultan was Assistant Deputy Minister for Planning and Programs in the Ministry of Municipality and Rural Affairs. He also served as Head of the Municipal Activities Privatization Program while at the Ministry. His experience also includes membership on numerous boards for Saudi organizations including the Saudi Standards, Metrology & Quality Organization (SASO), Electricity & Cogeneration Regulatory Authority, and the Saudi Exports Development Center.
Dr. Al-Sultan received his Ph.D. in Development Administration and Public Management from the State University of New York at Albany and an honorary master’s degree in Public Administration from Pittsburgh University.
