Bassma Adnan AlSeyofi
Head of the Language Training Institutes Division, Private and International Education Administration, Ministry of Education
Bassma AlSeyofi is Head of the Language Training Institutes Division in Jeddah for the Private and International Education Administration at the General Administration for Girl’s Education. She is also a speaking coach, international speaker, poet, and consultant.
Before her current position as the Head of the Language Training Institutes Division, Ms. AlSeyofi worked as Assistant Administrator in the Department of Training and Scholarship for the Ministry of Education for 15 years as well as an English language teacher for four years. During that time, she helped form a strategic plan for developing Makkah Region and worked as a coordinator promoting ethics strategy in Saudi Arabia. In 2008, Ms. AlSeyofi headed a consultancy committee to prepare field research for the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training to evaluate the performance of training institutes in the country. In the past, she has spoken at various international conferences and forums in the Middle East, Japan, and U.S. and published seven books. Besides her current position, she writes a weekly column for the newspaper, Aleqtisadia, and is a member of several NGOs in Saudi Arabia.
Ms. AlSeyofi is a Ph.D. student at Cairo University. She holds an M.A. in Planning and Education Administration and a bachelor’s degree from King Abdul Aziz University.
