President and CEO, SunEdison
Ahmad Chatila became President, Chief Executive Officer, and a member of the Board of Directors of SunEdison in 2009. At SunEdison, Mr. Chatila manages and oversees the operations of a global leader in the manufacture & sale of semiconductor wafers and a leading builder/operator of solar photovoltaic power plants.
Before joining SunEdison, he served as Executive Vice President of the Memory and Imaging Division at MEMC, and Head of Global Manufacturing for Cypress Semiconductor. In these roles, he was responsible for strategy, financial performance, and revenue growth for the Memory and Imaging Division, as well as global manufacturing for all divisions of Cypress. Previously Mr. Chatila served as Managing Director of Cypress’ Low Power Memory Business Unit. Prior to these roles at Cypress, he served in sales at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), Ltd.
Mr. Chatila holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from Arizona State University, a M.S. in electrical engineering from Cornell University, and has completed the Stanford Executive Program at Stanford University.
