A Royal Order Appoints Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Minister of Education, and Prince Mishaal bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Makkah Region
Riyadh , Safar 19, 1435, Dec 22, 2013, SPA — The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud issued today the following royal order:
First: Relieving Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Saud, the Minister of Education, of his post upon his request.
Second: Relieving Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Governor of Makkah region, of his post and appointing him as Minister of Education.
Third: Relieving Prince Mishaal bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of his post as the Governor of Najran region and appointing him as Governor of Makkah Region at the rank of minister.
Prince Khaled Al-Faisal is new education minister
RIYADH: Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah on Sunday appointed Makkah Governor Prince Khaled Al-Faisal as minister of education, a royal order carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said.
The king named Prince Mishaal bin Abdullah, governor of Najran province, to take the place of Prince Khaled as governor of Makkah with the rank of minister.
Prince Khaled was appointed governor of Makkah in May 2007 after a long stint as governor of Asir, which started in 1971. Makkah province includes the holy city of Makkah and Jeddah, the Kingdom’s second largest city.
Prince Mishaal served as governor of Najran since April 2009.
